Yeap, it really does not get easier or more delicious than this Allspice, Orange and Lemon Crockpot Chicken Thighs.
Just look at that crispy golden brown skin, made tastier with warming allspice (pimento) and a zesty orange and lemon sauce, lifted with fragrant thyme and citrus slices. Not much effort needed apart from a few minutes of crisping up the chicken thighs.

This sounds amazing. I don’t use my slow cooker anywhere as much as I should – it’s so easy to put it on and leave, but a lot of my finished dishes taste a bit samey. I’ve got some leftover oranges which need using up, so good inspiration to kill two birds with one stone.
Oooo was looking for inspiration for dinner and this sounds absolutely perfect and delicious. Thanks!
Wow!!! This looks absolutely incredible!! Must dust my slow cooker off too! xx
what an amazing recipe I must get my slow cooker out this summer
OOh what a lovely idea, whilst I do use my slow cooker, I haven’t used it this way, so it has given me a great idea x
Love all the exciting flavours in this chicken. So summery and zingy.

Chicken is like my favourite thing so I love finding new ways of spicing it up
Allspice, orange and lemon are such a perfect combination for chicken.
Bintu, I love the spices in this dish. I can’t believe this recipe was made in a slow cooker. Looks great!
Thanks Peter.
This looks amazing! Beautiful photography too. I still use my slow cooker in the summer. Its so handy when you want to go out for the day but still have a proper cooked dinner ready when you get home.
Thanks Ciara – do check out the Multicooker as it does so many things apart from slow cooking.
These look so delicious, I like the idea of popping these on a bbq too:-)
This recipe is very adaptable which is a plus.
This looks so delicious! I’ve recently been using the slow cooker more so this is definitely something I would love to have a go at, thank you for sharing 🙂 x
😀
I love my multicooker, and it is just perfect for the summer when you don’t want to put the oven or hob on. I love how tiny they are too.
Lovely recipe. Off to make it this week.
I hope you like it Helen 😀
Another great slow cook recipe. Funny I always think of slow cookers being about winter comfort food. You’re right, they’re perfect for doing all the hard work whilst you enjoy the sun. GG
Yeap. Must do much more slow cooking this summer.
I’m planning to get myself a multicooker sometime soon, it think it would be very convenient to just throw everything in it and then get a tasty meal when I get home after work haha I love the idea of how simple that sounds! And I absolutely love the combination of adding orange, honey, and thyme to chicken! yum!
You can do so much in the Multicooker. It is amazing.
I was looking at the multicookers and slow cookers yesterday and I think that I’m gonna go for a multicooker as it can do much more so there’s no point in getting a slow cooker! Thank you and I will be trying your recipe soon!!
As I am a vegetarian this is definitely not my thing, but the post looks amazing! 🙂
No worries Olivia you can use the multicooker to make lots of amazing vegetarian foods too.
Oh, that looks fabulous. I have never used slow cooker before, will check them out! 🙂
Definitely check out the Multicooker Redmond. It has a lot of advantages over the slowcooker.
Ooh yum! I love the flavours in this! Slow cooked chicken is such a rewarding thing to make and eat, leaving free time for play!
Thanks Elizabeth.
This looks right up my street. Could you cook these on a BBQ as well, I think they would be great for a summer garden party.
Yes they would definitely work on the BBQ too.
Im a vegetarian and not very good at cooking meat because I don’t appreciate it and can’t taste it but I’m always looking for tasty recipes I can cook for my family. This looks like a great one and perfect for me because you can just throw everything together and let the slow cooker do the work! Thanks for sharing K x
You definitely need to check out the multicooker K as you can make lots of slow cooked vegetarian meals for your family too.
