How to Make Lemon Garlic Pasta
- Cook the angel hair pasta, drain reserving a few tablespoons of the pasta water and set aside keeping warm.
- Heat olive oil over medium heat, add in garlic puree and cook for 30-45 seconds till fragrant.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest and chill, stir and switch off the heat.
- Mix in the pasta, grated parmesan and a couple of tablespoons of the reserved warm pasta water.
- Serve the lemon garlic pasta with toppings of choice.

My previous recipe musing before I updated this recipe…….
I had an entire day to myself a few days ago. I had the day off work, whilst mini chefs were at their friends and OH was at work. I did nothing. And I mean absolutely nothing. Well, nothing apart from four itty bitty little things.
I wrote the ‘me time’ post notes – don’t touch this Bintu’ and stuck them on all the things I might have been tempted to do – aka the washing machine, the toy cupboard and the gardening gloves. It worked too. I went for a 4 mile walk around the farm and got reacquainted with all the lovely woods planted by OH and his dad. I spent 2 hours engrossed in Charlie Hunnam’s troubles in Sons of Anarchy. I love you Charlie.
And lastly I made this summery Lemon Pasta twice – once to test the idea and because I loved it so much.

- 1 lb (450g) Angel hair or other pasta
- Salt

- Cook the pasta in salted water according to the packet instructions, drain reserving a few tablespoons of the pasta water and set aside keeping war,.
- Whilst pasta is cooking make the lemon garlic pasta sauce.
- Heat olive oil over medium heat, add in garlic puree and cook for 30-45 seconds till fragrant. Garlic burns really quickly so please keep an eye on this.
