FAQs

Can I Make Steak Bites Without Air Fryer?

Yes. Heat a grilled or cast iron skillet over high heat until the cooking surface is very hot. Add a small amount of olive oil, and then add the steak bites.

Cook 2-3 minutes before flipping the steak. Cook 2-3 minutes more or until the desired doneness is reached.

How Do I Know When Steak Bites Are Done?

The meat cooks quickly, but doneness will be determined by your personal preference and a meat thermometer. Follow this handy chart for doneness temperatures, and use an instant read thermometer to obtain your preferred doneness.

Rare – 125 degrees F / 52 degrees C
Medium-rare – 130 degrees F / 54 degrees C
Medium – 140 degrees F / 60 degrees C
Medium-well – 150 degrees F / 66 degrees C
Well-Done – 160 degrees F / 71 degrees C

What Type of Steak For Steak Bites?

Choosing a type of steak is a bit of a personal preference, but strip steak, sirloin steak, and rib eye are all great options. Look for steak that is well marbled, and avoid fatty steak or steak that is too lean. Steak that is about one-inch thick seems to yield the best results.

How To Serve Steak Bites?

Serve steak bites with baked or mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables for a delicious main dish. Make easy dinners by tossing with rice or stir fry vegetables.

Serve as a side dish or appetizer and add a dipping sauce such as Worcestershire sauce, tzatziki sauce, or additional melted butter. Top with freshly chopped parsley and blue cheese crumbles for incredible air fried steak bites.
