Expert Tips for Making Air Fryer Pizza Bagels
- Preheat the air fryer to ensure that your Bagel Bites start cooking immediately, leading to a crispier result.
- Keep your Bagel Bites frozen until you’re ready to cook them.
- Place your Bagel Bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. If you’re making a large batch, cook them in multiple batches for the best results.
- Keep a close eye on the cooking time. Bagel Bites cook quickly in the air fryer, typically taking around 4-6 minutes. I usually begin checking at them after 4 minutes.
- To make sure your Bagel Bites are done, look for a golden-brown color and melted cheese in the center. Use a fork or a pair of tongs to test their doneness and remove them when ready.
- After removing them from the air fryer, give them a minute or two to cool slightly. They’ll be very hot right out of the fryer.
- Times and temperatures are approximate as different air fryers cook differently.

Delicious Variations
- Experiment with Toppings – Get creative with your toppings! Add extra shredded mozzarella cheese, herbs, spices, or even some cooked bacon bits for a unique flavor profile.
- Serve with Dipping Sauces – Bagel Bites are even better when paired with dipping sauces like marinara, pizza sauce, ranch dressing, or garlic aioli. Have a variety of sauces on hand for dipping.
- I love topping these with Air Fryer Frozen Meatballs or serving with these Air Fryer Frozen Hashbrowns for variation.
Prep And Storage
- Prep Ahead – Go straight from the freezer to the air fryer.
- Store – Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- Freeze – Refreezing bagel bites is not recommended.
- Reheat – We recommend only heating the number of pizza bagels you plan to eat. They can be reheated in the microwave or air fryer, but the texture of the bagels may not be as desirable.
