This fruity pink Instant Pot Raspberry Lemonade (yes we make it in the pressure cooker too) is immensely adaptable. There are virtually limitless ways you can adapt and vary the flavors to suit your tastes and mood.
Why Make This Recipe
- A great way to use up any excess summer raspberries.
- It is soooooooo easy to make entirely of affordable everyday staples.
- It is easy to double the recipe for a crowd.
- Prep-ahead ease. Whip up a big batch and chill till needed.
- Get the kids helping in the kitchen – they love whipping this up.
Ingredient Notes
- Raspberries – This uses fresh raspberries. Feel free to use bruise raspberries as these will be discarded. Save the best ones for eating or garnishing.
- Sugar – plain white sugar is great.
- Lemon juice – use juice from freshly squeezed lemons. I love using Meyer lemons when possible as these are sweeter compared to regular lemons.
- Water – Plain tap water.
- Apple Juice
- Ice and lemon slices – for cooling and an easy garnish.
How To Make Raspberry Lemonade

- Allow the syrup to cool.
- Sieve the pureed raspberries, reserving the juice and discarding the pulp.
- Then in a large jug, combine the lemon juice, raspberries and the syrup.
- Mix in 5-6 cups water and apple juice depending on how sweet / tart you prefer your lemonade.
- Garnish the Raspberry Lemonade with lemon slices, raspberries and serve with ice.
How To Make Instant Pot Lemonade
Get the complete ingredients list and instructions in recipe card below.
- Place all ingredients into the Instant Pot. Do not mash the raspberries.
- Close the lid and turn the vent to the sealing position. Set the Instant Pot to Pressure Cook or manual at high pressure for 5 minutes.
- Let cook till done then, allow a natural pressure release for 10 minutes and then manual release the rest of the pressure and open the Instant Pot
- Scoop out the raspberries, they will have turned white at this point and will still be intact.
- Decant into a large pitcher, let cool and refrigerate.
- When ready to serve, pour over ice and garnish with lemons and fresh raspberries.
Note – cook time does not include the time it takes for the Instant Pot to come to pressure or to release pressure.
Homemade Lemonade Tips
- For the best results use freshly squeezed lemon juice not the bottled juice.
- Make sure your lemons are ripe and give a little when squeezed so you get the maximum lemon juice from each lemon.
- Add even more raspberries if you prefer.
- Make with a sparkling lemonade for a fun twist.
Recipe Variations
Immensely adaptable. There are virtually limitless ways you can adapt and vary the flavors to suit your tastes and mood.
- Vary the fruit – add in blueberries, strawberries, cherries, peaches.
- Add lime – Swap some of the lemon juice with lime juice.
- Make it grown up – add in a splash of vodka, tequila, rum or gin.
- Add some mint into the sugar syrup for a delightful taste.
FAQs
To make this a frozen raspberry lemonade, simply use frozen raspberries instead of fresh, and add in some ice. Use a powerful blender to combine.
Absolutely. For the stovetop version simply use a sweetener instead of the sugar syrup.

A delightfully refreshing and colourful summer tipple Bintu, especially with the vodka! I’m so boring with drinks and really need to expand my limited repertoire, both for the kids and grown ups.
Meant to say I’m loving your new look Bintu, think I missed all these changes occurring. Kind of been busy and offline a lot lately, and desperately trying to catch up!. Good work done though!
Lou, you obviously have a very well loved drinks repertoire so that is good.
